Industrial Stormwater Drainage & 24" CPP Installation | Entergy Substation – Nederland, TX

Project type

Industrial Stormwater & Drainage

Date

February 2026

Location

Nederland, Tx

Asher Construction completed this industrial stormwater drainage project at Entergy’s 230kV substation in Nederland, Texas, installing approximately 210 linear feet of 24-inch corrugated plastic pipe (CPP) in accordance with the project’s engineered civil drawings.

The new stormwater line was designed to connect the recently constructed detention pond to Drainage District 7’s canal system, creating a controlled drainage path for runoff leaving the substation site.

Our scope began with excavation to the required line and grade, followed by placement of 2-sack stabilized sand to establish the specified pipe bedding. The 24-inch CPP was then installed, aligned, and backfilled according to the engineering specifications to provide proper support and long-term performance.

The system also included installation of a 24-inch collector box with restrictor plate, allowing controlled stormwater discharge from the detention pond. At the downstream connection, our crew tied the new pipe into the existing concrete-lined DD7 drainage ditch.

Once the underground drainage work was complete, we restored the disturbed concrete liner at the outfall connection and finished the project by dressing the surrounding topsoil to leave the area clean, properly graded, and ready for sod establishment.

This project showcases Asher Construction’s capabilities in industrial sitework, stormwater drainage construction, underground pipe installation, detention pond infrastructure, CPP installation, stabilized sand bedding, drainage structures, concrete restoration, grading, and civil site development for utility and commercial facilities.
